FAQs
Our products
Expiration dates are usually found on the bottom of the boxes. Otherwise, we suggest consuming them within 2 months of receiving your order to fully enjoy their freshness.
We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place, between 12 and 20 degrees. The preferred location is a cellar, if you have one at home, otherwise a cool room away from the sun.
Your orders are shipped in an insulated box, designed to keep your chocolates at the ideal temperature throughout transport.
We process Cacao Barry and Valrhôna chocolate pastilles. Valrhôna is a French company that has been making premium chocolates since 1922. Cacao Barry, also renowned, was founded in Paris, France, in 1842 by Charles Barry.
We favor, whenever possible, products from our region in order to highlight the richness and authenticity of the Gaspé terroir. Here are some of our local suppliers: Gaspésie Sauvage, Les Ruchers des Framboisiers, Mont-Café, Varech Phare Est, Les Jardins de l'Orme, Femme en Fleurs, Érablière Escuminac, Les produits de Sarah et Paulin, Fleur de sel Gaspésienne, and many others.
We process chocolate pastilles, but we don't roast them. Our expertise lies in making ganaches. We can compare our role to that of a baker: they transform flour into bread, just as we transform chocolate pastilles into ganaches. The miller transforms grain into flour, just as the roaster transforms cocoa beans into pastilles.
Our chocolate pastilles come from France, but we give them a distinctly Quebecois profile thanks to the flavors and ingredients that we incorporate into our recipes.
